Who Was Dr. T. Galen Hieronymus?
Thomas Galen Hieronymus (November 21, 1895–February 21, 1988) was an American electrical engineer, inventor, and influential twentieth-century radionics researcher.
Born in Valparaiso, Indiana, he developed an early interest in wireless telegraphy, served as a military radio operator during World War I, and later worked in electrical-power engineering before turning his attention to unconventional radiation-detection systems.
After experimenting with and manufacturing Dr. J. W. Wigelsworth’s Pathoclast in the early 1930s, Hieronymus established a laboratory in Kansas City and developed his own instruments, including the “Radiation Analyzer,” patented in 1949 as U.S. Patent 2,482,773 for the purported detection and measurement of emanations from materials.
He proposed that every element and living organism emitted a distinctive force he called “eloptic energy” a term combining the terms electrical and optical (el-optic) which he believed could be refracted, conducted, amplified, analyzed, and transmitted by specially constructed devices. His analyzers, treatment instruments, agricultural experiments, writings, and later work through the Institute of Advanced Sciences made him one of the best-known figures in American radionics.

Hieronymus Machines
Dr. Hieronymus began building radionic devices at the behest of Dr. Fred N. Planck of Kansas City, MO, the owner of a famous alternative healthcare sanitarium known as The Temple of Health.
Both had been neighbors when Hieronymus was a young engineer in the 1920's and Dr. Planck asked Hieronymus to machine and construct some odd devices for his own medical experimentation. It wasn't until after Dr. Planck passed away that Hieronymus learned the truth, that Dr. Planck was a colleague of another radionic luminary Dr. Albert Abrams, and the devices he had been building were being used in their advanced research.
Hieronymus inherited some of the original Abrams devices from Dr. Planck's widow and intrigued by the possibilities started down the path of radionic research that would continue for the rest of his life.
Dr. Hieronymus would begin manufacturing devices using his own concepts in the 1940's under the name "Radiation Laboratories" out of Kansas City, MO. This lasted until 1951.
In 1967 Dr. Hieronymus started his Advanced Sciences Research and Development Corporation (ASR&D) and began offering his most modern radionic devices.
